Last week I was chatting with a good friend of mine, who’s wedding I photographed back in 2005. I was telling her about the Expression Sessions I’m doing with brides (and grooms) after their wedding. Alyssa jumped right onto the idea and thought it was an awesome idea and a really good excuse to play dress ups!

So we got together last night and did a shoot in downtown Hamilton - which I might say provides some pretty awesome shooting opportunities. Two of Alyssa’s bridesmaids wanted to come out and have some fun too. Both Lindsay and Emily are gorgeous, so it certainly made for some very cool shots.

There have been several photographer friends of mine across North America suggesting to their brides and grooms to head out with them and have one last hurrah in their wedding gear before it goes into the wardrobe… I think it’s an amazing idea! I’m calling it an Expression Session!

After suggesting it to some friends of mine who recently tied the knot, we got together today and created some truly beautiful images… Here are my favourites.
