Heather & Jamey’s Engagement Session
Friday, May 30, 2008
Let us introduce you to a totally sweet, totally cool, totally awesome couple…Heather and Jamey! Dave and I are so excited to be shooting Heather and Jamey’s wedding this July. Heather is such a cool girl with a great personality, us girls got along so well right away. Jamey is awesome too and has a great sense of humour, which rocks because Dave and I love to joke around and make our clients laugh.

We met up with the couple outside of the venue for their wedding and chatted about locations for shoots. Dave and I had already scoped out a few hot spots before the couple arrived but we wanted to see if they had any particular ideas in mind. They’re getting married at The Scottish Rite in Hamilton, which is great because there is such a great mix in the way of old world architecture and cool, trendy modern buildings in that area for us to choose from.

This old abandoned building was one of the hot spots on our list. It was this absolutely stunning reddish-orange brick warehouse we found on some lonely side street. Sadly, It will be gone soon for a condo development but for now we thought it was a beautiful backdrop for our engagement shoot.

I love this shot I got below of the two of them. The richness of the bricks just pops off the page and Heather’s hair just looks soooo beautiful with the colours of the bricks.

Heather and Jamey have been in love for 6 years now and this July they will vow the deep love that has blossomed over their years together. You can tell they really are best friends and have a sweet love for each other.

I had to sneak this one in! I shot this one of Dave when he was shooting with the Telephoto Lens. He looks so cute, doesn’t he!

So much thanks goes out to Heather and Jamey, we had a great time doing your engagement shoot! We also have so many more amazing locations we can’t wait to choose from for your wedding day. Stay tuned for more photos of Heather and Jamey after the wedding!

Fiona + Darren’s Engagement Shoot
Wednesday, April 9, 2008
During our trip to Jamaica this week, we had the fortune to meet a lot of really cool people - both locals and fellow travelers. Fiona and Darren are two people who Charlotte and I got chatting with and really connected with. They’re Canadian too, so we all decided to have some fun one evening and did a little shoot for them… enjoy the show!

Lonnie & Meghan’s day at Henley Beach
Wednesday, January 30, 2008
Lonnie and Meghan are another cool couple I’ve known for many years… when we caught up in Adelaide, I offered to do a shoot with them down at their favourite beach. The next day we met during their lunch break, and created some great shots… I hope you enjoy them : )

Happy New Year!!!
I writing from Australia, where I’ve flown to photograph the wedding of great friends of mine - David and Ebony.
Their wedding is fast approaching, so today we took a drive up to check out their venues and do an engagement shoot at the same time.
This week has been scorching hot, with yesterday being the hottest New Years Eve in over 100 years… a whopping 44 degrees! That’s 111 Fahrenheit to our American friends.
Dave & Ebony are a very cool, very much in love couple and it was a real pleasure to be out shooting with them today. It’s got me even more pumped about this Saturday! Stay tuned for those early next week : )
Music: “I’ve Just Seen A Face” by the Beatles, performed by Jim Sturgess (from Across the Universe)… awesome film by the way!

Natasha & Kester’s Expression Session!
Saturday, September 22, 2007
The moment Kester and Natasha walked into the studio, I knew they were going to be a lot of fun. They’re getting married in Barbados next year, so we decided that for their engagement shoot it’d be cool to capture the Toronto vibe, then show a progression to the beachy vibe which would tie into their wedding…

Hey Dave,
I really can’t thank you enough for sharing your phenomenal gift with us yesterday!
It’s after 1am and I am still awake, sitting here smiling because I can’t stop looking at the photos over and over and reliving all of the funny quirky moments that helped to create them. I just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know how blessed I feel that we found you because you have absolutely captured the essence of Kes and I in a way that we will be able to remember for ever. There are shots that will truly give our friends and family a peek into our lives and let them see our relationship in a way that is so natural and beautiful and I just could not have asked for more!
After seeing them, my cousin said to me, and I quote:
“honestly……those might be the greatest pictures of a couple that I have ever seen. Wow… I’m literally blown away.”I think that says it all….

David & Sara at the Distillery
Sunday, September 9, 2007
“Not another thunderstorm!” I said as I rolled out of bed this morning. I couldn’t believe that for the third time I was going to have to reschedule David and Sara’s engagement shoot… So as you can imagine, I had my eye keenly focused on the forcast as the day progress, and I was stoked to see that we were going to be able to do the shoot!
We got together at the Distillery and had a lot of fun doing a variety of shots. Sara started off pretty shy, but by the end was having a great time. And what better way to finish up a shoot over a pint at the Mill Creek brewery?! Conrats on an awesome shoot guys! Can’t wait for your wedding next month : )

Jennifer & Ryan’s Engagement Session
Monday, August 20, 2007
I’m photographed Jennifer & Ryan this weekend and they were an awesome couple… we got some great shots which I’m really proud to share with you…

The shoot took place at Bluffers Park, in Scarborough. It’s an awesome spot to shoot - for me it’s the closest thing to an Australian beach… although the water’s a bit colder
Can’t wait to shoot the wedding!
